Welcome to "Linsca" Kennels at WindSong Fields!
Home to the beloved Bernese Mountain Dogs, Flat Coated Retrievers and the occassional Vizsla!

Over the last couple of years "Linsca" dogs and their people have been on the move.  We sold our farm in the summer of 2014 and are currently in a transition home until we build again on our new property in Buffalo MN.  As our kids got older, it became apparent that we needed to be closer to work, schools and all their many activities.   So life continues to provide new adventures, beautiful new friends both 4 legged-and their 2 legged counterparts.

PUPPIES ARE DUE!  It's been a while since we've bred an we are thrilled to have 2 litters due in the Spring of 2016.

Grand Champion "Truuli" x Grand Champion "Garret" are expecting on April 10-12, 2016 (Bernese Mountain Dogs)

Silver Grand Champion "Bridger" and Grand Champion "Jane" are expecting on April 23, 2016.  (Flat Coat Retreivers)

It's going to be a busy spring.  We do have limited availability at this time with both litters, so see our puppy page for more information and our puppy application.

Two Titles in ONE Day for Miss Jane: NEW Champion & Rally Novice!
Introducing:
Grand Champion Heirborn Heavenly Bawdy RN  "Jane"
Jane came to us in the summer of 2014 as a 1 year old.  She has been a simple delight to have in our home and our life.  There is nothing more endearing than her big brown eyes gazing up waiting for a kernel of popcorn, and her drive in the field is something else. We decided to breed her this spring, so she's ready for duck season come fall!  From a conformation standpoint, she is truly flawless in our opinion.  I've never had a dog that I can't pick apart and try to address some improvement that we hope to gain by breeding.. she really is that awesome! She is very driven to work, and could use a little more extension on her side gait: Those are the reasons we feel Bridger will be such a great compliment to her.  He has the most elegant side gait and a quieter 'soul' that will bring the best of both these dogs to their offspring.  First and foremost though, she is a wonderful companion to our children, us and gets along great with all members of our 4 legged family!

(Shortly after this picture was taken, Jane mopped up the competition (including beating Bridger on several occasions and completed her GRAND Championship!)

Bronze Grand Champion Heirborn Who'll Stop the Reign "Bridger"
RBIS, Multi BISS
Bridger at a mere 13 months finished his Championship!
In 2013 We were fortunate to meet an amazing breeder of Flat Coat Retrievers, a few short weeks later we had our first boy.  Bridger came to us at 6 months old and has never stopped surprising us since then.  His first show out at 6 months old, he picked up a 5 point major!  Since then it's been a rollercoaster ride of amazing wins, defeats and overall just fun! He's such a kind 'old' soul we like to call him.  Very intellegent, balanced in temperament and so very willing to work. He has produced several very promising litters.  Recently a 1 yr daughter of his found a homicide victim in a landfill.  (She is currently being trained as  search and rescue dog)  Bridger has done so much for us in the conformation world that it is now time to hunt, have fun and earn some of those titles.  We are currently working towards his JH, RN and CGC to get started.  If he just sees Scott walk to the gun safe to get ready for field work, he almost looses his mind with anticipation of the work that lays ahead.  This is a very special boy indeed that we are very proud to own, love and enjoy as an amazing working companion in the field and ring!

Truuli is having quite the show run!
Truuli started her show career at the 2013 National Specialty in Colorado.  Since, there's been no stopping this girl.  With very limited showing she picked up 4 majors to finish her CH. Then has gone on to complete her Grand and Bronze Grand Championship.  Winning BOS at multiple Specialty shows with very tough competition.  We welcomed a singleton puppy from her in February 2015 and she is now expecting what we hope to be quite the litter in April 2016.  Truuli is the kindest, most gentle and loyal 'people' dog you'll meet.  She just wants to be loved and pet. Truuli (and her son Tank) currently live with a guardian family in Woodbury where they are doted on and loved!

We are so pleased to share with you the beautiful and versatile dogs that we call our friends and companions. Our goal is to provide any prospective puppy owner with all the information they need to make an informed decision before adding one of these wonderful dogs to their family.  Our dogs are members of our family and we truly believe that a well bred dog will only enhance your home.

Considering our involvement in the veterinary community, we all too often see the results of poor breeding.  Either dogs that have numerous health problems and/or disposition concerns.  It was a goal of ours to get involved in breeds that we felt needed as much support as possible.  The Berner and Flat Coat Retriever are not common breeds and it is our duty as breeders to enhance the breed with every litter that is born.  We are thrilled to be a part of the Berner and Flat Coat communities to support these amazing dogs.   Recently we were so very fortunate to be entrusted with a lovely little Vizsla Puppy:  Butters. We said good-bye to our oldest friend "Ottley" at the ripe age of 15 during the summer of 2015.  Our other Vizsla Cedar (14) just seemed so out of place without a red dog to snuggle up with and our home feels so complete with Butters here. I do plan to show her and currently she's focusing on training to hunt first and foremost.  She has been such a delight! Watch out world, here comes Butters!

We are not a kennel.  Our dogs play on grass in the yard, sleep on the couch or in our beds.  We are a family working hard to provide and share with you this magnificent and gentle breed.  Our goal is for your family to enjoy a Berner as much as ours.  Our dogs enjoy spending time with the family inside and outside of our home. Our Berner's are our number one companions during the winter months and love joining us for chores, as any chance to enjoy a snowbank is of great interest to them.
